Larry has been helping his clients meet their financial planning goals for the past 33 years. He attended the University of Minnesota School of Business. He became a Certified Financial Planner™(CFP®) through the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado in 1989 and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) through the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 1995.
Rob loves sorting through financial data and crafting a plan that meets our client’s goals. He is especially passionate about developing retirement income plans. He strongly believes that a clear plan for providing monthly income leads to retirement happiness and fulfillment. Rob has been in the financial services industry for 20 years. He earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation.
Kellen loves working closely with his clients to develop a deep understanding of their needs and goals. He enjoys using scenario modeling to educate his clients and help them make good financial decisions. He completed his financial planning degree at Minnesota State University – Mankato before earning the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) and IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) designations. He has worked in the financial services industry since 2017.
Brandon believes in using his financial planning expertise to simplify complex topics to help his clients gain understanding. He focuses on educating his clients to fully understand their options and why a strategy makes sense before implementation. Prior to joining Valtinson Bruner Financial Planning, Brandon spent eight years of his career working for one of the largest financial institutions in the United States. He held positions in customer service, treasury management, and finally as a treasury management consultant for local governments across the Midwest.
Julie has worked with Larry since January of 2007. She comes from a legal background with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences. As the Account Services Manager, she handles opening and transferring of accounts, distributions, as well as the maintenance of brokerage accounts. She also assists with our client’s medical and life insurance needs.
Aaron joined Valtinson-Bruner Financial Services in October 2013 as an Administrative Assistant after working a number of years in banking & finance. He eventually became our Client Services Associate and is now our Chief Compliance Officer, making sure we properly follow the guidelines set out by the various regulatory agencies. Aaron also processes trades and assists in preparing for client meetings with Larry, Rob, Kellen, & Brandon. Kelly joined the Valtinson Financial Services team in August of 2017 and is the first point-of-contact at the front desk. She answers and directs phone calls and sets appointments. Kelly assists the Valtinson team with many of the administrative needs they have so they can concentrate on taking care of our clients.
Tyler is a staff accountant handling individual, business, and trust returns as well as new business formations. He is an Enrolled Agent which allows him to represent all taxpayers before the IRS. To become an Enrolled Agent, he had to pass a three-part comprehensive test covering Individual, Business, & Representation. As an Enrolled Agent, Tyler is required to complete 72 hours of continuing education every three years, ensuring that he keeps up-to-date with yearly changes to the tax code. He is also licensed in auto & home insurance.
Justen is a staff accountant handling individual, business, and trust tax returns as well as tax filings for payroll clients and new business registrations. He graduated from Metropolitan State University In 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is currently studying to become an Enrolled Agent.
Bridget has spent the last four of her eight years in the Tax Industry with Valtinson-Arciero Tax Services. She assists with tax preparation. Bridget has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and received her MBA from the Carlson School of Management in 2006. Bridget is an Enrolled Agent which allows her to represent all taxpayers before the IRS. To become an Enrolled Agent, she had to pass a three-part comprehensive test covering Individual, Business, & Representation. As an Enrolled Agent, Bridget is required to complete 72 hours of continuing education every three years, ensuring that she keeps up-to-date with yearly changes to the tax code.
